This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through Backyard Initiative (https://backyardinitiative.com).

Backyard Initiative is owned and operated by SKCO LLC.

3. Return Eligibility

We offer a 30-day return policy from the date you receive your item.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Item must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging
  • All accessories, manuals, and parts must be included
  • Proof of purchase is required

4. How to Start a Return

To initiate a return:

  1. Email us at support@backyardinitiative.com within 30 days of delivery
  2. Include your order number and reason for return
  3. If approved, we will provide return instructions and an RMA (if applicable)

5. Return Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for non-defective items
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping method (UPS or FedEx)

6. Restocking Fee

A 25% restocking fee applies to returns due to change of mind.

This does not apply to:

  • Damaged items
  • Defective items
  • Incorrect items
  • Items lost in transit

7. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide photos or videos as proof

We will:

  • Offer a replacement OR
  • Issue a full refund (including shipping costs)

8. Items Not Received

If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery timeframe:

  • Contact us at support@backyardinitiative.com
  • We will investigate with the carrier

If confirmed lost:

  • You will receive a replacement or full refund

9. Order Cancellations

  • Before shipment: Full refund available
  • After shipment: Must follow return process

10. Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for:

  • Custom or personalized products
  • Perishable goods
  • Opened personal care items
  • Gift cards or downloadable products

11. Refunds

  • Refunds are issued after inspection of returned items
  • Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method
  • Please allow up to 14 business days for processing

12. Exchanges

We only replace items if they are:

  • Defective
  • Damaged
  • Incorrect
